Waynetown, Nov 3 -- At his home two miles west of Waynetown Thursday afternoon occurred the death of Lemuel L. Cooper after a sickness covering several months.  Mr. Cooper was born in Delaware County Ohio, the 31st of March 1834, dying at the age of 72.  He has been a resident of Fountain County since 1854.  July 25, 1860 he was married to Miss Nancy A. Bever, who survives him.  He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Georgia Newkirk and two grandchildren, Miss Zelma and Haley Newkirk, who made their home with him.  Mr. Cooper was one of the first members of Ingersoll Chapel Christian Church, an officer for any years being an elder at the time of his death.  He was one of the stable citizens of Fountain County and will be much missed in the community for the noble life he has spent among them.  Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at the Christian Church.
